My poem

I'm from the war of the ring,
where it always goes back,
over and over,

I'm from a world,
where there is war,
adventure,
and a abbey

I'm from a time of three men,
the good,
the bad ,
and the ugly,

I'm from,
partly,
of the mindset of Dr. Wells,

I'm from a world,
where there is the gold
and an art of orange and black

Guess the tone

He called me when I was at school. It was my friend. My mood was lifted but at the same time uneasy. He said when I would be able to attend taekwondo class again and I said June. He said that I must come. It was summer soon after, but a week passed and I wasn't there and another week passed, and another. The days passed by until summer ended and I was back in school, wondering with a feeling 0f lonliness. I looked back to that time and thought: Its not like taking that class would be spending a day and plus, I had saturday and sunday. Why didn't I attend? If I had, than I would have experienced friendship. But now its just to late, he probably would not consider me as a friend again.

Guess the mood

Korea Rep had defeated Togo 2:1 in the first match. A team either has to be the winner of the group or the runners up to qualify to the knock out stage of the world cup. The second match was against France. It made me so nervous that Henry scored the first goal. Time was running out. If we lose, than the third match becomes ever more important and the chances of not qualifying lingers to much. But at that moment, Park Jisung puts the ball in the net. The match ends. Korea Rep has 4 points. Can they qualify? The must win match is against switzerland. Its a must win and they are not one of those w cup champions.

A song about happpines

Happiness Runs

Little pebble upon the sandNow you're lying here in my hand,How many years have you been here ?Little human upon the sand>From where I'm lying here in your hand,You to me are but a passing breeze. The sun will always shine where you standDepending in which landYou may find yourself. Now you have my blessing, go your way.Happiness runs in a circular motionThought is like a little boat upon the sea.Everybody is a part of everything anyway,You can have everything if you let yourself be.Happiness runs, happiness runs.Happiness runs, happiness runs.Happiness runs, happiness runs.Happiness runs, happiness runs.Happiness runs in a circular motionThought is like a little boat upon the sea.Everybody is a part of everything anyway,You can have everything if you let yourself be.Happiness runs, happiness runs.Happiness runs, happiness runs.Happiness runs, happiness runs.Happiness runs, happiness runs.Happiness runs in a circular motionThought is like a little boat upon the sea.Everybody is a part of everything anyway,You can have everything if you let yourself be.Happiness runs, happiness runs.Happiness runs, happiness runs.Happiness runs, happiness runs.Happiness runs, happiness runs. Why ? Because. Why ? Because. Why ? Because. Why ? Because.Happiness runs in a circular motionThought is like a little boat upon the sea.Everybody is a part of everything anyway,You can have everything if you let yourself be.You can have everything if you let yourself be.You can have everything if you let yourself be.You can have everything if you let yourself be.You can have everything if you let yourself be.You can have everything if you let yourself be.You can have everything if you let yourself be.You can have everything if you let yourself be.You can have everything if you let yourself be.You can have everything if you let yourself be.You can have everything if you let yourself be.You can have everything if you let yourself be.You can have everything if you let yourself be.You can have everything if you let yourself be

259,000,000 dollars YOU WON!

1. How do you feel?

I think that I would feel surprised but not so excited or happy to the fact that I am not so interested in money yet.

2. What are your first thoughts?

My first thoughts are that we have alot of money now and that we do not need to worry about spending too much.

3. What would you plan to do with all that money?

If I was an adult, than I would start spending some of it if necessary.

Clue 4

1. I admire my mom because she always encourages me, does her best to help me, believes that
you can do it if you try hard, and has done her best to raise and take care of me.

1b. Specific clues of setting can reveal about the theme of a short story. For example, if the cloud is dark, and the house is very old, looks wounded, and dusty, it can be a sign that the story is going to be that of hauntings and horror. Also, if the setting is a castle on some mountain or slope, and the surrounding area is full of wilderness, than the theme could be a fariytale one. A story that takes place in China or East Asia could have a theme related to ancient Chinese or Asian wisdom.

2. An author drops clues about characters and how their actions lead you to the theme of a story by writing down their, feelings, thoughts, their personality. I think it depends on the action that the character chooses that leads to the theme of the story.

3. I think the strongest setting in my life was the roof top of my grandmother's house. There were many flower pots and other things inside this room in the roof top. Me and my cousins use to play their at times. One time, I ran trying to get out of the roof top by the room with all the flower pots and because of that, I got seriously injured. I think the truth was that you shouldn't play too fast in such a place.

Clue 1

1. Beauty is something that is liked by many. It is a word for something that looks good and fine. However, beauty is more than just the outward appearances. It begins from the heart. A person that is warm outwardly and in the inside, does and says things that is in the favor of God, and is far from spiritual death can be considered beautiful.

2. Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised. (Proverbs 31:30). Let your beauty not be external – the braiding of hair and wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes – but the inner person of the heart, the lasting beauty of a gentle and tranquil spirit, which is precious in God’s sight. 1Peter, 3:3-4

1b. Reader response analysis is making connections from the story that you read, learning from ideas that is important in the story and your own thoughts and or feelings about the topic of the story. First, describe how it relates to real life, give an example of something this story reminds you of in your own life or society today, think of how you can use the idea to help your own life in society, and wrie your feelings or thoughts abou the topic in this story.

2. Reader response can can open our eyes to more truth as we read by the fact that we can find connections from that book to your own life, there could be ideas in the story that can help you in real life.

3. It is important for you to interact/connect with literature because if you do, it could make you feel better because of connections. You could have experienced something bad and feel bad because of it, but if you find something similar to it in a book, you could feel better. You might fare better in life due to the fact that you have read and noticed the ideas that connect to real life. The connections can make you reflect upon yourself.

4. I learned by reading the Lord of the Rings The Fellowship of the ring that humans are the most attracted to bad.

Reader's response to Two kinds

1. Like the girls mom never looked back with regret when it was about going to America, I, even now, never missed Singapore when I came back to Korea.

2. Like the girls mom gathered and piled magazines, I gathered and piled food delivery books.

3. Like the girl, I use to play the piano but I quit.

4. Just like the girl argued with her mom about quitting piano, I once argued with my mom about quitting math lesson.

Clue 3

1. It is literature being expressed in an artistic way.

1. Identify the important idea. Look at the title of the story and try to find clues about what the book will be about. Identify the characters relation to the central topic. Pay attention to important events, dialogue, ideas, metaphors, and changes in a character's action or beliefs. Think and organize your thoughts. Write them down. Put the central topic in the middle and write down thigs that connect to it.

2. I am not sure if this is proper but its that I have more than one theme in my life as I have seen it now. Whenever I come to school, I feel nervous. I wish I would just not be nervous when I come to school but I feel nervous. I also think of many things that I don't want to think about and I get quite some stress. But this is mostly during the early times of school. What I think the theme should be for this one is that I should make more contact with people and a few friends that I have. I think if we talk more and know each other more, than even this problem that I have is not diminished, I think I would have lesser amounts of it. If that doesn't work or you just can't do it, than I think I should start to pary for keeping on praying is like a planting seeds untill a plant, fruit, or a tree has come to be.

3. In my opinion, I think that the theme of Gods plan for this world is that, well, at least for mankind, this Earth will end, that this world is not the place for all humans to stay forever but that there is a rightful place to be. That for humans, the Earth will end and that the narrow path will be entered by only those who are like Noah.

2. I think that the theme for the utterly perfect murder is that no matter how bad the past was, the past is the past and that you should leave it behind unless if it something worth remembering or a good experience. People can change as they become adults, just like everyones faces change as time passess by. I t relates to my own life very well in that I keep thinking about the bad past with hatred, and evil, and harm. When someone has done somethings bad or that if I just feel bad because of someone, I keep thingking over and over about harm and sometimes even killing. Sometimes I also think that despite of these things being that of the past and that I know that it should be ignored, I think that its worthwhile to take revenge and in any way for the very fact that they did somthing bad and that I should also have the time of hurting them in any sort of way for in my life, I haven't really done so often and that I should have some share of it. Yet at the heart of all this thinking, my victory against that person in my mind calms me down.

3. A moral of a story is different from a theme in that a theme is the nature of humanity as it is depicted in the novel and a moral is the lesson of the story.

4. Yes, I think that that is a theme statement for Gods story in that he gave his only son so that we can all be saved and that our spirit can live forever through him. This relates to the truth that you may find in literature in that the truth is powerful and unbreakable.

Clue 6

1a. Metaphor is a part of figurative language that makes comparisons between two unlike things with out using the words like or as. The comparisons are often of the things that are not related to each other. It's used to enhance understanding and expression. There are dead metaphors and living metaphors. Living metaphors are those that are considered novel and the dead ones are that are incorporated into normal usage. The difference of these two are not decisive. Similes are a part of figurative language that is often poetic and is a comparison of things using like or as. Like metaphors, similes are at most times a comparison of things that are unrelated to each other.

1b. Authors use figurative language so that there piece of writing is more artistic. What I also think is that authors may want to express there ideas in such a way. That there feelings or experiences had that type of feeling and they use figurative language to express it. I also think that authors are in a mood to always make the readers want to question and think about these things that they are writing about. That they are not in the mood or think it is more better if they never directly state the thing or idea but let the reader think about what it is. That to let them figure out by themselves is always more fun for the author to do so.

2. Three metaphors that I think are interseting are:
In my prime I established an empire, in the end, I closed its chapter.
I think this one is interesting because it states that in prime time, things are good, but in the end, it comes to nothing. What is also interesting is that it states that he, the one who created, also destroys it.

A lifetime is a day, death is sleep; a lifetime is a year, death is winter.
I think this poem is intereseting in that it states that lifetime is a day and death is sleep. When your dead, you are not moving like you're sleeping. When you're dead, you're cold so that is well on with death is winter. I think that maybe, its a case that lifetime is a day as in unless if you don't take a nap, your awake. Also it could represent that life time is a day as in one day, where you waking up is a sign of birth and that you sleeping in the night is a sign of death.

3. "I am the resurrection and the life." John chapter 11 verse 25.

4. This metaphors reveals about God's world in that his world is the ultimate truth. It shows that his world is the ultimate greatness. That anyone who lives in it, wether its in heaven or on Earth has not spiritually died but is living. It reveals about my understanding of it in that although I am very sinfull, I do understand what God's world is like.

The Utterly Perfect Murder

I think that the utterly perfect murder will be about a stunning, exceptional muder. It was not until about three or four years later that I wanted revenge on some terrible insult. I did not act upon that desire for I was living in a seperate place faraway. I began to think of brutally hitting and injuring the person and after that I felt better.

Reader's Responce

I've never felt connected to any character in a book that I have read nor have I found a character that was a lot like me. However, I do think that it is important to make a personal connection to literature because, reading something that is connected and a lot like you may make you realize and reflect on yourself. It may also make you feel interested that a personality is similar to you and that there is a similar connection.

Plot and Short Story Srtucture

2. Stories need to be structured because the more organized, the better. It's good to organize parts of your story so it will avoid possible confusion. Unless if it isn't free write or writing with no format, than a person that is writing a story should follow by the way of the plot diagram or the order of the plot to the fact that it must include all the factors of those steps of the story structure. It should be that way so that readers can get a clear picture of how things were led to that and that it can be good for story analysis and so forth understanding the story well. Also, it might not sound interesting if a story has one or a few of the steps missing and also it might not make sense. It reveals that our need, as humans to, construct understanding has been improved and good. It is improved and good to the fact that it allows writers to make understanding better and makes a story more complete.

3.

Jesus

1. The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.
2. But to all who believed in him and accepted, he gave the right to become children of God.
3. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.
4. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father's one and only son.
5. From his abundance we hace all received one gracious blessing after another.
6. But the one and only son is himself God and is near to the father's heart.

These details in Christs life relate to his preachings to people, he saving people from death and suffering by his great power, and his death and ressurection.

Marigolds connections

1. In the story Marigolds, it states that “Surely there must have been lush green lawns and paved streets under leafy shade trees somewhere in town; but memory is an abstract painting—it does not present things as they are, but rather as they feel.” Sometimes when I remember back in time, I get a lot of how it felt. I sometimes want to have those days again. Also, sometimes I have feelings for something which may not be the same with what it is.
2. Lizabeth destroyed Lottie’s garden of Marigolds. She later finds out that she was being watched. I once did something bad on the elevator but it didn’t know that there was a CCTV installed in the elevator.
3. Joey, Lizabeth, and other kids, did bad stuff by throwing rocks onto Lottie’s garden. I at times threw eggs out of the window in means to hit someone outside. Also I did bad stuff with my friends in the condominium.
4. The narrator states that she feels nostalgia when it come to remembering the marigolds. I get a bit of nostalgia when I remember about things of eh past.
5. I states that Lizabeth and Joey were youngsters of the family while the rest were sent to marriage. From 3rd grade, I was alone with my parents while my sisters were gone to university.
6. Lizabeth felt scared when she watched her parents argue and her dad cry. I was in fear too when my parents wee fighting.

Short Story

My story is based on a historical drama that aired on 2000. I forgot many parts to it so it may be different.
In the 800's AD, the Unified Silla Kingdom of Korea is declining. It is on its way to downfall. Many people were starving, many chose to be gangs that steal food and goods, and many were disloyal towards the Silla government and rebelled. In the midst of all this was Gungye of the Silla royal house, Wanggun of Songak (Gaesong) and Gyeonhwon in the Southwest. Gungye was ordered to be killed so he fled and was placed in Saedalsa and worshipped Buddha. He would one day think of himself and eventually tell someone that he was the Mireuk (something very high in Buddhism). Along with his freind, he set out to the outside world and helped many people, gaining fame in teh process. He became freinds with some who would become his generals and started building his army. Gyeonhwon was a son of Ajagae. Even in his early days he showed great strength and loved combat. At the age of fifteen he called himself Gyeonhwon an joined the Silla military nad later became a general. As he was sent to the Southwestern region, he brought rebel leaders to his control and brought peasants to his cause. One day, he striked Mujinju (Gwangju) and established Later Baekje. The reason why its called that way is because there was a fallen Kingdom callde Baekje before, and its that Gyeonhwon's will was to revive it. He later moved the capital to Wansan (Jeonju). Gungye, after realizing this, striked the northern territories of Unified Silla and named his nation Later Goguryeo. He later named it Majin, and then Taebong. By doing so, he earned a special man, a man named Wanggun. Wanggun was a son of Wangryoong, a great merchant of Songak (Gaesong) and from his early days travelled to surrounding nations. When he was born, there was a great symbolic sign, a sign that shows that he would bcome a great man. Soon, the revived nations of Goguryeo and one that of Baekje would fight for the supremacy of the territory south of Balhae. This part is the expositoin because it mentions the main characters, the setting and the main conflict.
Gyeonhwon and Gungye's ambitions were to unite the later three Kingdoms. Gungye's dream was even further than that. He wanted to conquer up north into Manchuria just as Goguryeo once did. Gyeonhwon wanted to glorify his Later Baekje an avenge the last king of Baekje, Uija. Wanggun became a general and led succesful engagements against Later Baekje. He was very popular among the people, even Ajagae admired him and Gunye considered him as his brother. Gungye turned evil and had to be removed. Wanggun was chosen as king and established his Goguryeo Kingdom called Goryeo in 918. Goryeo and Later Baekje battled. Silla was a weakling.
This part is the rising action because the conflicts are developed. The rulers have their dreams which result to war.
Gyeonhwon among all his offspring liked his fourth son Geumgang the most. One day he chose him as the chosen crown prince of Later Baekje. Many people of the government of Later Baekje did not like this for they preferred Shingum, the eldest son of Gyeonhwon. As for Shingum. he was feeling raging jealousy and unfairness and along with two other sons of Gyeonhwon, Yanggum and Yonggum, decided to bring about a coup. Mant generals joined them and killed Pajinchan, a important government person and tactician as well as their obvious target, Geumgang. Gyeonhwon was in a stunning rage after he found out the deed. Unfortunatley, he was placed in Geumsansa, and the ruler of Later Baekje was Shingum. Influenced by someone high in Buddhism, Gyeonhwon decided to something that would end the existence of Later Baekje. He fled to Goryeo. There he was suprisingly welcomed by Wanggun and Wanggun influencd by Gyeonhwon, he decided to attack Later Baekje with a force of 100,000.
This part is the climax because Gyeonhwon flees to Goryeo, a turining point in the story. Also the main character, Wanggun changes by welcoming his sworn enemy.
The forces of Later Baekje and Goryeo met in Seonsan Gumi. Many of the Later Baekje forces lost morale as they saw their king in the Goryeo army and submitted. The battle was a piece of cake for Goryeo. Shingum retreated and the last movement of his army was put down by a Goryeo ambush. After much thought, Shingum surrendered to Goryeo. Neungae, his uncle, Ichan, and a general were executed. The drama tells that it might have been the same for Shingum and his exiled brothers Yanggum and Yonggum. Thus it marked the end of Later Baekje at the year of 936. This part is the falling action because the conflict is taken care of . Later Baekje fell.
Before the fall of Goryeo's rival, Silla had submitted to Wanggun's kingdom for King Gyeongsun could not rule and the kingdom lost all its strength. Before that, Balhae, another succesor state of Goguryeo fell to the Khitans and many sought refuge to Goryeo and they were warmly 's welcomed and became assimilate to the Goryeo population. So Wanggun's Goryeo achieved a full unification, one that would go on uintil the year 1392. From 1392, the dynasty would be different, but Korean people would still be ruled under one single entity until 1910. This part is a resolutoin because it comes to a reasonble ending.
The conflict of this story is that Later Baekje and two revived kingdoms of Goryeo do most of the battle to dominate the territory south of Balhae. The kingdoms stem from the will of men who wanted to revive fallen nations for Silla was weakening too much and they knew it would fall by itself.

I like to read about historical things that i like of. Sometimes, reading about it can make me feel better when i had a bad day, and sometimes it makes feel good. I also like to read about fantasy-adventure books. When I say "fantasy", I don't mean any type of fantasy but like the Lord of the Rings, and the Redwall series. I feel a very adventurous spark, esspecially when it comes to the Redwall series.

In the past, I use to read while lying down in bed because it was more comfortable. But sometimes I would fall asleep. Nowadays, I read not by lying down. I don't need to be in a particular place for myself to read. I don't listen to music when i read for I think that it doesn't make me concentrate, I don't need to be eating or drinking as I read.

I think that they should make movies for only those ones that are really fun or meaningful because its good to have fun and you get to think more after you were introduced into a meaningful thing. I think that perhaps, they should ask the author permission, because perhaps, the author may not be pleased and feel really shy of when they find out that their work has been made into a movie.

The last five things that I've read was a graphic, physical comparison of Lions and Tigers, stuff about Sumatran Tigers, information about Tigers, a book about Korea, and about Chemistry.
